Scott practiced law for 15 years in a mid-sized firm, focusing on transactions, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation – appearing before state, federal and administrative courts. He was also in-house counsel to three different companies – advising the owners on multiple areas of the law and overall risk management. Scott is an adjunct professor at Salt Lake Community College, a graduate of Brigham Young University and the J. Rueben Clark Law School. Scott is an avid sports fan, a lover of the arts, history and politics.
